Appointments - Austin Psychologist Lee Edwards

What to expect. A regular-length session is 50 minutes. Typically you describe your problems and goals and we at least begin to make a plan for change. We assess together whether more therapy sessions would be helpful to you and, if so, whether you and I are a good fit to do those sessions together. Occasionally clients come for just one consultation, but most come for several sessions. Sometimes I suggest homework, sometimes not. Couples usually meet together from the start and, in the first session, describe what each of them thinks the problems are as well as the goals for therapy. Sometimes it's also helpful for each member of a couple to come in individually.

Schedule. I schedule appointments on the hour. My earliest start time is 11am, and my latest start time is 8pm. I'm in the office Monday through Thursday most weeks, occasionally on a Friday also.

Paperwork. There is a form that I need you to fill out before we meet. For couples, each person needs to complete the form individually. You can download it and complete it in advance:

If downloading the form doesn't work for you, let me know, and I'll have it waiting in the waiting room for you; you'll need to come 10 minutes early to fill it out.

Location. In South Austin, at the intersection of Manchaca & Ben White (71). See the Contact page for specifics and a map.

Payment.
